Holiday for Readers - June 2007
Our first holiday for readers took place in August 2006.
The weekend, and many who came on it, convinced us that this combination of sharing insights and being passionate about books plus eating delicious home cooked vegetarian food, should be repeated.

So in June 2007 we did just that! The venue that we chose for this holiday was the Women’s Holiday Centre in the beautiful village of Horton-in-Ribblesdale, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. We believe that the incredibly positive atmosphere at the Women's Holiday Centre, helped make this a really special weekend for those prepared to learn from others.

Our aim on all our holidays is to give readers an opportunity to discover new books, discuss books they have already read, build confidence in finding a good read and make new friends.

The attached photos and quotes give an idea of what we get up to on our holidays and reunions.

"It has been so brilliant. I've enjoyed it so much."

"It was a really good weekend with lots of new recommendations for what to read next"

"Relaxing and very enjoyable"

"I loved the opportunity to discuss books with enthusiastic readers"

"Can we have another one soon?"

"Enjoyable, knowledgeable and worthwhile"

"I didn't realise vegetarian food could be so delicious"
